mpv plugin - no control

(1/2) > >>

piano:
I am unable to control playback using mpv. I have not stop/play, pause, forward, back, etc on the screen and the keyboard doesn't function at all.
Using a fresh installation and the mpv plugin, both 32 and 64 versions, the same thing happens. Am I missing an obvious control somewhere. Do I need to adjust a parameter.
The only way to stop playback is by rebooting!

Has anyone any experience of how to solve this problem

Hi,

Welcome!

Thank you for the report. I will test it and see what I can do.

Actually I think my problem is more fundamental.

On a fresh installation I tried adding the VLC and Chromium apps and neither would work.
The tv picture flickered, went black, and then returned to the tv.

Trying to run VLC gives the following message in the system log:
Dec 12 15:50:21 (MLD) authpriv.err atd[5905]: PAM unable to dlopen(pam_gnome_keyring.so): /lib/security/pam_gnome_keyring.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Dec 12 15:50:31 (MLD) user.info vdr: [1529] EEPG: PMT scan idle

and when trying to start Chromium:
Dec 12 15:53:54 (MLD) authpriv.err atd[12646]: PAM unable to dlopen(pam_gnome_keyring.so): /lib/security/pam_gnome_keyring.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Dec 12 15:53:54 (MLD) authpriv.err atd[12646]: PAM adding faulty module: pam_gnome_keyring.so
Dec 12 15:53:54 (MLD) authpriv.info atd[12646]: pam_unix(atd:session): session opened for user root by (uid=1)
Dec 12 15:54:55 (MLD) user.info vdr: [1523] EEPG: setstatus 0

So I think the problem seems to revolve around the PAM module
Could anybody please explain how this works and how I could fix it

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Hi,

today I'm testing the mpv Plugin, and I have no problem by controling it. The playback control works like a normal VDR recording playback.

Hallo

Meine Daten HD steckt in /mnt/data.
