OpenGL core profile shading language version string: 3.30
OpenGL version string: 3.1 Mesa 18.3.6
OpenGL ES profile version string: OpenGL ES 3.0 Mesa 18.3.6
OpenGL ES profile shading language version string: OpenGL ES GLSL ES 3.00

Best Regards.

You must compile it yourself and crate a package with it.
My be you can find a package for the right Debian version and can use that.

Hi Claus,

Here is OpenGL version on my Ubuntu 20.04
I'm using stock packages from git, i think there is newer OpenGL version i can download from PPAs.

Code: [Select]
OpenGL core profile version string: 4.5 (Core Profile) Mesa 22.1.0-devel (git-86eaff2 2022-02-09 focal-oibaf-ppa)
OpenGL core profile shading language version string: 4.50
OpenGL shading language version string: 4.50
OpenGL ES profile version string: OpenGL ES 3.2 Mesa 22.1.0-devel (git-86eaff2 2022-02-09 focal-oibaf-ppa)
OpenGL ES profile shading language version string: OpenGL ES GLSL ES 3.20

Are you satisfied with the current MLD OpenGL version?
I mean there is no plans to upgrade it?

Which package i should compile?
I have to compile it in dev container or Ubuntu?

Best Regards.

Hi,

Problem is sorted out by repacking mesa drivers off kisak-mesa PPA

Code: [Select]
OpenGL vendor string: Mesa/X.org
OpenGL renderer string: llvmpipe (LLVM 13.0.0, 128 bits)
OpenGL core profile version string: 4.5 (Core Profile) Mesa 21.3.6 - kisak-mesa PPA
OpenGL core profile shading language version string: 4.50
OpenGL core profile context flags: (none)
OpenGL core profile profile mask: core profile
OpenGL core profile extensions:
OpenGL version string: 4.5 (Compatibility Profile) Mesa 21.3.6 - kisak-mesa PPA
OpenGL shading language version string: 4.50
OpenGL context flags: (none)
OpenGL profile mask: compatibility profile
OpenGL extensions:
OpenGL ES profile version string: OpenGL ES 3.2 Mesa 21.3.6 - kisak-mesa PPA
OpenGL ES profile shading language version string: OpenGL ES GLSL ES 3.20
OpenGL ES profile extensions:
MLD>

Best Regards.

Hi Claus,
Have you tried Vulkan on MLD?
I'm getting the above message in screenshot, it means it doesn't work.
I'm using xorg-nvidia.legacy driver.
Maybe Vulkan doesn't support my GPU?

Another question, i can't control fan speed in nvidia-settings
It says fan speed unsupported although it works under Windows 10.
Any idea?

Best Regards.

Lol, i found that on Nvidia debian wiki

Code: [Select]
Older legacy driver, for GeForce 8 series through GeForce 300 series. No Vulkan support
Now my question about fan speed control, anyone uses xorg-nvidia.legacy and it works?

Best Regards.
