Schritt-Für-Schritt-Anleitung zu Transcode?

Gemstone:
Gibt es eine Anleitung (für Dummies), welche Schritte in welcher Reihenfolge man ausführen muss, um Aufnahmen mit dem installierten Transcode in mp4/mkv umzuwandeln?  :-[

Ich hole mal diesen alten Thread nach oben... denn ich habe auch schon ein paar mal ohne Erfolg probiert Transcode zu nutzen...
Mein Verständnis:
1) Ich wähle unter "profile" z.B. das HD Profil aus
2) "Prepare Transcode File" (es wird in dem Aufnahmeordner ein File erstellt "vdrtranscode.xml")

3) start transcode (führt bei mir zur Meldung "tracoadm exit with done"

aber mir scheint es passiert nichts weiter ... status zeigt "offline    tracoadm exit with done", also anscheinend startet kein Transcoding Prozess.

Habe ich da etwas falsch verstanden?
