from here:

https://e-tobi.net/vdr-experimental/pool-jessie/binary/backports/

and install 1 at a time starting with the straight file, then -dev, then -ffmpeg-dev
you will have to go back and forth on a couple packages, but they all installed correctly and they all work as advertised!!

TimUx:
Hi Eyeamok,
we just working on an alternativ possibility for the ffmpeg packages.

At the moment were are testing with the ffmpeg packages of the official "Jessie Backports" Repo.

I've build an MLD-Devel install script, which will do an unattended install of a DEVEL System, with all sources, rules and packages.

So, be patience, there will be some news the next day/weeks!

Regards,
Timo

eyeamok:
I saw that script and downloaded it, haven't tried yet because system is already built and running, but those packages I listed do work and all installed properly, all packages built correctly. I burned a CD yesterday and tried it, booted up and all looked good, but live environment did not start??? I might have added too much stuff to custom build and confused it, it Went into desktop mode sort of, But packages were installed after I built most everything, so I will do a clean all and rebuild to see what happens this time.

Hi,

I'm not sure to understand it right. But if you add lots off packages to the image, you must have enough RAM to load all them into.

Claus
