Installation mit netinstall und old-config

Hallo zusammen,

wie gestern im Videochat besprochen, hier mal mein Test mit dem aktuellen netinstall (MLD-5.0.0_netinstall_2015.07.20-151+1139_amd64.iso) und meiner backup-config von der MLD 4.0.2. Bin wie folgt vorgegangen:
- netinstall.iso auf USB Stick installiert
- backup-config ins root-Verzeichnis des Sticks kopiert
- vom Stick gebootet
- Installation und dann old-config ausgewählt
- Installation auf den Stick von dem ich gebootet habe
- danach installiertes System gestartet

Bei der Installation scheinen bestimmte Pakete nicht gefunden zu werden - siehe nachfolgende Startmeldungen:

Hallo Claus,

danke, hat bei mir funktioniert - natürlich erst beim 2. Versuch ;). Ich vermute, dass Ursache der nicht gestartete Server war, weil er u.a. nicht /mnt/data vom Server mounten konnte. Kannst du das ggf. noch mit einer Meldung abfangen, wenn bei einer Client-Installation der Server nicht im Netz erreichbar ist, bevor die Installation fehl schlägt?

Noch ein Hinweis, nach dem Neustart der Installation waren die Aufnahmen vom Server noch nicht sichtbar - ich nutze den avahi-linker. Hier brauchte ich noch einen reboot. Vermutlich hätte es auch ein Neustart des avahi-linkers getan.

Noch ein paar Fragen:

* Im Webif kann ich nur dann den Installationstypen (client-shd, old-config, ...) wählen, wenn ich das netinstall.iso verwende oder zusätzlich das Paket install-net installiere. Was spricht dagegen, diese Auswahlmöglichkeit auch bei einer normalen Installation zur Verfügung zu stellen?

* Wolltest du nicht auch noch die Möglichkeit schaffen, dass ich ein backup-config File im Webif bei der Installation hochladen kann? Stelle ich mir bei meinen alten Rechnern praktisch vor, die ich nur per CD booten kann.

Bis ich die Möglichkeit schaffe beim Installieren ein Backup-config hochzuladen, kannst Du auch einfach in's quicksetup gehen, und dor Deine alte Config einspielen. Das geht im live Modus, oder nach der Installation (auch ohne eine collection zu wählen).
Ich bin mir bei dem ganzen prozedure eh noch nicht so ganz im klaaren was der beste Weg ist und wie das letzt endlich ablaufen soll.
