orgel:
Only times a small note at the edge, OpenElec uses TVHeadend as backend. XBMC and VDR is the best bottom plate for AMD. I hope that soon XVBA supported then one can do to Softhddevice completely without XBMC PVR.

best regards
Orgel

dodger:
@orgel .. i think you have old information :) OE support both tvheadend and vdr. For vdr you can use xvdr(better) or vnsi. there is some other plugins for vdr but not too much.
I dont like tvheadend - is not stable and cant hold many channels

orgel:
I use only the Git version of Fermenta because of the AMD support. TVHeadend cannot deal also yet with a CAM. One must take the detour over the SmargoReader.

MarMic:
hi,

haven t had exp with openplic yet.

rotorng.conf is in the right place! but the mld will NOT overwrite YOUR changes in files with an update! that means that every file you change is the FIRST file in filesystem (thats a little trivial-thought)

if you want to have the origine file you can remove your changes with rmcp

example:

rmcp /etc/vdr/plugins/rotorng.conf

this will remove your "changes" to the file and "replace" ith with the file from the package until you change it again!

is it understandable?

greetz MarMic

dodger:
ok I understand it :)
Every one who will use this plugin will change this file :) because position a saved in rotor not in file..

I have a 2 questions: can I stop live tv and resume it when I want. I mean no timeshift , just like in dreambox- suspend options?
and if I switch to xbmc for example is vdr still play live tv on background?

thanks
