So, nachdem meine DVB-T Karte aus Garantiereparatur zurück gekommen ist, habe ich die Karte mal in mein Testsystem gestopft.
Der DVB-USB Treiber hat den korrekten Treiber (dvb-usb-dib0700) und eine nicht mehr ganz aktuelle Firmware (siehe unten) an Board.
Sollte also eigentlich funktionieren.
Leider komme ich nur soweit:

Lösung gefunden.
Hauppauge packt eine Nova-TD-500 in den Karton einer Nova-T-500.

Ne noch komplizierter.
Ich hatte eine Nova-T-500 bei Amazon (damals) gekauft.
Die habe ich neulich zu Amazon geschickt weil kaputt.
Amazon hat das Gled zurücküberwiesen.
Dann habe ich bei Atelco eine neue Nova-T-500 gekauft und im Karton war eine Nova-TD-500.

Dann passt es ja. Dachte das "D" steht für Dual, so ist es zumindest bei meinen USB-Stick´s.

TD steht für "bisherige" Nova-T, aber jetzt mit Diversity - also wird daraus TD.

This card appears to have been released, in low volumes, only in the UK, but unfortunately it seems that Hauppauge is shipping the Diversity* card in regular NOVA-T-500 boxes!

[* The "Diversity" option is a hardware based feature that allows for the device's two receivers to be configured in a combined use mode to achieve better reception on a single channel. The diversity feature of the DiBcom demodulators is currently not implemented in the Linux-DVB drivers, so only the dual tuner configuration is presently supported on such devices [1]. ]

This newer revision can be distinguished by:
On the box:

    * You will find the model name and number under the bar code:
          o WinTV-NOVA-T-500
          o model 289
          o SL-289-V2.1-UK.
    * The box also has a sticker stating it is the diversity option and only suitable for intel cards.
          o To quote one user running the device under Windows: "When i put it in my athlon based XP box it blue screened as soon as i tried to load the drivers. I brought mine from Amazon.co.uk and there was no mention that this card was any different or wouldn't work with non-intel processors."

On the card:

    * it is labeled with the 'Diversity' feature stickers and the actual model number on the printed circuit board is NOVA-TD-500 (WinTV-NOVA-TD-500 DVB-T 68109 LF rev C1B5)
    * the card has two aerial connectors.
    * it uses a DiB0710 host USB controller (USB-to-PCI controller) instead of a VIA controller


The DiBcom DiB0710 controller used by this newer revision was apparently never sold for mass-production and DiBcom has end-of-life'd the chip. Furthermore, DiBcom currently do not plan on providing support for this controller. Consequently, given the low shipping volume and the limited support options, development of a Linux driver for this revision would likely be a waste of effort. [2][3]

Fortunately, for Linux users who have mistakingly received a Diversity variant, Hauppauge are apparently willing to exchange this product to a genuine T-500. Call the UK support line 0207 378 0202 and say you have read this article and bought your product from ebuyer, dabs or wherever.

Ich hab mal ein wenig gestöbert und es scheint das auch die Nova-TD-500 unterstützt wird, jedoch wohl erst mit nem aktuellerem DVB-Treiber.
Somit werde ich die nächsten Tage mal versuchen den DVB-Treiber zu aktualisieren.
Falls ich's vergessen sollte, bitte nen Ticket schreiben.

Das wäre super klasse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Eigentlich ist die TD besser, weil sie 2 Antennen Eingänge hat, was bei DVB-T durchaus Sinn macht.

Dann werde ich die Karte erstmal liegen lassen.
Wann meinst Du schaffst Du das?
Wenn es länger dauert muss ich die Karte voher zurückbringen.

Ne ich meine ne andere Seite (nen Wiki) da hatte jemand beschrieben das er die TD unter Suse und Ubuntu-8.10 getestet hatte. Unter Ubuntu (hat nen wesendlich neueren Kernel) lief die out of the Box.

So, die neue Firmware (dvb-usb-dib0700-1.20.fw) ist nun schon mal mit dabei.
Die dvb-usb-dib0700-1.10.fw ist nur nen Link auf die dvb-usb-dib0700-03-pre1.fw
Welche Version der Firmware genommen wird, entscheidet irgendwie das Kernelmodul.

Ich hab nun auch den DVB-Treiber aktualisiert. Du darfst den nun also gerne mal mit deiner neuen DVB Karte testen.
Der muss nun auch noch mal mit den anderen verfügbaren DVB-Karten getestet werden. könnte ja sein das der Probleme macht.
Das neue Addon ist bereits online verfügbar.
