[MLD-5.5 testing] RPI4 softhddevice-drm HEVC hardware accelerated video decoding
gr4vity:
Hi,
softhddevice-drm HEVC hardware accelerated video decoding on RPI4 can be easily enabled by using rpivid-hevc driver as you can see in screenshot.
I dunno why there isn't much info about that driver but it works :)
If you want to test it, you can either build it yourself or wait for Claus to build/add it in rpi package ;)

Hi,
Thanks for the info, I've been looking for that for a long time.
Perhaps Claus will take care of the matter, then I can start a new experiment with the RPI4 shortly.
Best regards

gr4vity:
Hi,
I would like to test that HEVC driver with Kodi as well.
I asked Claus to upload Kodi v19 though.
Best Regards.
gr4vity:
Hi Claus,
vdr-plugin-skindesigner depends on libskindesignerapi which isn't available in MLD search.
You can upload it later in case someone needs it.
Best Regards.
